We also have a town liek Celebration including an aquarium and over 100 stores. They each have something unique. The main reason people go to the swamps is for the parks. And of them Epcot and DAK are WDW's crown jewels IMHO.

But once you're there, the question is how much other stuff is available. The scope of "the swamps" goes beyond any other themed resort in the world. There is literally something for everyone, and it's essentially a fully functional resort "city". You can't say that about the others (not even Paris).

Not saying's one better than the other, they just both laid out new tracks for the theme park industry

THAT'S impressive.<<< Pretty much - they are a lot of designer boutiques, so unless you are in FNAC (think French Tower Records/Virgin/HMV) or Auchen (French Walmart), they are unique things. They have live entertainment too. It is quite cool. Most people do not even realise it is a Disney design town. But nope, WDW used to be cool, and a couple of the parks are, but if I wanted to golf, or sail, or do most of the other things non park or hotel related, there are better places to go. The parks are what it is about. And the MK is probably the 2nd weakest of that style after Hong Kong.
