I know TDL may be insanely crowded, but I don't get to choose the dates when I am on business (funny, but business people want to meet on weekdays). I think there is a lottery deal for the shows in the castle court (I remember doing that a few years back). I assume I can do some attraction and circle back and enter the lottery. For those that don't know, I've been to TDS and TDL multiple times so I know my way around generally. I know to get there EARLY on Saturday (I plan to be ther about 1 hour before scheduled opening). When I got the resort, people were sitting all along the walkway between Maihama Station and TDL waiting for the late afternoon when they could possibly start letting people back in. Looking at my calendar, it does not appear that there is any holiday the weekend of 12/13-14. I don't know what day you will arrive in Tokyo, but just to be safe I would try to buy your two day pass as soon as you get there.

However, the earlier shows are easier to win, since they have the same amount of seats to give away but less time in the day to do so.

Can a voucher be for a "fixed date" ticket? Also WHERE do I go in a JR rail station to get a voucher; the same place I get rail tickets, the "travel center" or what? (I can't beleive the web site does not have a link to a list of which stations and at what location -- I searched around on-line didn't find out anything). I also just noticed from the web site that I COULD have gotten a fixed date voucher on the internet but it requires a 7 day advance purchase and I am inside that window (by one day). I'm not sure if or when I will have time to go up to TDLR to buy a ticket and I would really hate to go there only to find out that they are sold out. Any help would be appreciated.

So only 45-minutes after the train left Shin Yokohama I was at TDLR at little after 7PM. I bought a two day pass for Friday and Saturday. The cast memember said that today (Saturday) had sold out on Tuesday last week so it made me feel good that I went to the trouble to do it. While I was there, I quickly walked through the Ikspiari. It finally dawned on me that the last time I had been to to the TDL side of the resort was in 2004 (on my 2007 trip to Tokyo, I only went to TDS via the Monorail). Things had changed quite a bit. The Disneyland Hotel was new to me as well and I took a quick spin through the lobby. I watched the 8:30 Fireworks from the Monorail platform in front of the DL Hotel. What they had looked good, but boy were they short in duration (only 5 minutes). Then I walked quickly to the train station and as luck would have it I jumped on an rapid (fewer stop) train as the doors where closing. I made the 9:13 Shinkansen back to Shin Yokohama and arrived back at 9:29 or less than an hour after the fireworks ended. I've taken more time a WDW to get to my hotel via the bus system.
