Leaving them on would probably affect the view across the bay and other non-reserved vantage points. What would be really cool is if the lights somehow blended in with WOC: syncronized color changes, etc. That would give some incentive to watch from the other side.

I could see them using them in a similar way, adding random extra pops here and there, for the folks who have to watch it from the back side. I'm also interested to see what it looks like with all the laser 'glitter' effects, since the last time I saw it from that side, the building was just steel members. It looked like they might end up projecting on the surface of the building (at least in the winter when the trees have lost their leaves), which might look cool too.

I saw WoC tonight .. watched it from "ground level" right in front of L.M.'s entrance ... all the lighting all around the building completely shut off. With the arched light bulb area (just above LM's doorway) dimmed.

I walked the whole lagoon during a performance Sunday night just to see how this was being done.
