I think ship names should be unique and not just something that is easily duplicated across every cruise line in existence. Wonder and Magic were unique to Disney. I don't think it would have been too hard to come up with some great ship names not in use by the other lines.

I was thinking the same thing. Of course Carnival was using names like Celebration, Festivale etc. long before Disney Cruise lines was a glimmer in Disney Corps eye. My first cruise was a Carnival. Carnival is ok, I haven't taken a Disney cruise but I think if I had kids I'd prefer Disney lines.

But I'm a RC guy at heart.

No matter what the name is, if Disney cruise line keeps up the quality then that's ok.

    Agreed.

I knew Carnival had the Fantasy, but didn't know about the Dream.

So now they'll 'share' names ...

    That's just dumb.

I guess they're saving 'Wishes' for the next expansion!

    ~Let's go cruising!~

While the naming convention is now consistent with what the cruise line started, I wouldn't mind seeing a change in the conventino altogether. Names like "Mickey Mouse," "Donald Duck," or even "Walt Disney" would be perfectly fine names for a ship.

I was also looking at the artistic rendering of the new cruise ships, and while it's probably not the last look for the new ships, I did notice one thing the new ships seem to be lacking. The crews' swimming pool, which is located in the bow of the older ships.
