This will allow for you to hop onto the train, and get off at Tomorrowland or NOS to ride some rides. This only works if it starts near IASW. If it starts on Main Street, watch it right in front of the train station for the same reason. Walking behind the parade is VERY VERY slow, and then you're herded like cattle into Frontierland. It's horrible. Definitely watch the Fireworks in front of the castle, behind the Partners statue are some benches. We've camped there for about an hour and a half to 2 hours before R..DCT. You'll be able to see the poles that create the snow. Do NOT sit directly under them. They create about a 2-5 feet radius of no snow. I've also watched the Christmas fireworks along the rivers of America. Not crowded, and you get the snow, too. At DCA, they have Santa's Beach Party Blast. Mickey and Minnie come out, and a trailer with a band plays music. M&M dance with the kids, beach balls float around, and Santa is there (sometimes the real Santa, sometime Goofy dressed as Santa). It's a lot of fun for the kids, but smaller kids will get stepped on. I'm so luck my birthday is in December for the only reason that I can go on my birthday and celebrate the holiday season there with minimal crowds.
