I like it a lot better where we are now. Frankly, we fit in a lot better. We had accumulated assets through smart (and lucky) investing and real estate transactions that enabled us to live there, but we didn't have the high powered jobs and incomes that many around us had in the "Elites". We are much more comfortable where we are now. We may be a bit on the high side of the demographic, but that is preferable in my opinion to being on the low side. By the way... our segments were: Gray Power Home Sweet Home New Empty Nests Pools and Patios Young Influentials As Anaheim said, that is a pretty accurate read. Our present suburb is a mature suburb with an upper middle income older population that is turning over to the “Young Influentialsâ€. Actually, I find it a pretty nice mix for people our age.

Has all the quality demographics - median incomes, & 78% of adult population with college degree ( almost 30% masters + ) - -- without the snob apppeal of the north shore (i.e. Lake Forest) here.
