I almost didn’t make it to the park. I set my alarm for 6:00 but when I hit the snooze a second time I must have turned it off. I was SO lucky that my brother happened to be at my parents’ house going to his 20yr High School reunion. He woke me at 6:30 asking if something was wrong. (My parents had gone to Alaska the day before for a vacation with my sister’s family.) Then, since I was in such a rush, and was going to wear shorts, I totally cut my thigh shaving my legs. As if I’ve never shaved my legs before! Well it bled a couple of beads-worth through the khaki shorts, but I don’t think it was noticeable. Of course it was noticeable when I got soaked on Splash Mountain and it made a big spot on the leg of my shorts. I got on the road at 7 and picked up the tickets (a bit complicated) and we were in shortly after 8. There had been morning hours for the hotels, but at least the two lesser APs were blocked. Three of my cousins joined me on my trip. My uncle said it was an easy sell; they all wanted to see Star Tours. Even though they have always lived in OC and they are the ones with the 33 connection, they didn’t understand FPs! Got a FastPass for Star Tours first thing and rode Star Tours. It was just so fun! We all loved the changes. We rode Space Mountain next, my favorite, and it was superb, so superior to WDW. We next rode Indy and it was fine. We had a runner get FPs for the first showing of WoC and Soarin’ and Splash. We rode BTMR (great) and Peter Pan (sweet) and POTC (superb). We had lunch at the club. The food was SO perfect. I enjoyed the fruit cocktails and a birthday mousse and the watermelon and filet. I love The Happiest Millionaire stuff – it is one of my favorite movies. “Fortuosity” on Main Street is something that makes me grin, not smile, grin. It was fun to chat with my cousins. It was emotional to see where DH proposed. I walked around on the balcony for the first time this time – fun. Next was the Haunted Mansion. It was very nice. Then I got so soaked on Splash. Besides the spot on my leg, people could also see my underwear through my shorts! And it seemed way too short too. We rode Star Tours again and it was even better than in the morning. Great improvements! We went over to DCA and Soarin’, which was simply wonderful. We rode Little Mermaid for the first time (line much shorter than we expected) and we all really enjoyed it. I look forward to going on it again. Screamin’ was next. Important lesson there: do NOT stuff down an ice cream cone in line, even if your stomach is normally fine. TSMM was after that. I have not waited so long for a ride in years, yet my cousins thought that the day was very full. Monsters’ Inc was all right. Aladdin was a lot of fun. Genie is just so entertaining. I laughed and laughed. I laughed until I coughed and coughed, which, as some of you know, has become part of my Disneyland experiences. Enough with the bronchitis, already! We went over and checked out Flynn’s and my cousin, Erik, found his heaven. He played Tron and didn’t do too badly. We got in line for WoC (blue section) and went almost right in and sat down. We played a game on Erik’s phone and sat as long as possible. WoC was incredible. I LOVE this show. It was different than the last time I saw it. It made me cry. I LOVE this show. Erik then wanted Tomorrowland again. We went and saw EO. It was fun to watch with a Michael Jackson fan. He said that he still has two of the songs from EO on his MJ playlist. My cousins were really crashing so they headed out. I wanted to go on Space Mountain and Star Tours again, but the waits for both were over 45 minutes. I couldn’t handle that alone, not that late, so I headed home. I was so beat by the time I got home that I didn’t even brush my teeth. And that is a shocker for me.
