Of course, if the movie still has huge appeal beyond the initial run, all bets are off.

There are always some interesting props in there from recent films, but because of the seating placement for award wieners, most people just walk right by.

Obviously the people who designed DCA in the first place had this same mantra. The park was built, couldn't hold it's own and became a financial monkey on Disneyland's back.

DCA needs to WOW people. Cheap fixes are never going to do that.

As a side note: Does anyone know why Superstar Television was removed from Disney/MGM?

I say - get some more darn things going on back there! The Hollywood Backlot section of Deeseeay is meant to present "the making" of film-MAKING. So I say bring a temporary exhibit ... instead of starring at an empty building! :)

I get your point ParkH. ... I'd rather see some original LONGTERM ideas ...... but you and I know between now, and the time they get something going ..... 10 more "Narnia" films will come out!!

The millionaire building is the type of structure that is very inexpensive to build or tear down. That is why it went up so quickly. On a side note, don't you feel the classic fairy tale feel of Narnia belongs in Fantasyland? They could tunnel into the area that had the Skyride and build something onto backstage property. You know, you walk through the wardrobe to get in line and step into a new world?

Unlike a "ride" where one CM just loads people in - like putting pickles in a jar - live shows require CMs that speil - more highly trained and paid employees.

Superstar TV would not be such a "cheap fix" - it would probably be about the same cost as 'millionaire'.

Of course now the Superstar TV theater is empty -- the cheapest solution of all.
