If I said "I am DANYOUNG, the smartest person in the known universe!!!", you'd probably take it as the humorous thing that it was meant to be. TDLFAN doesn't use smileys, so it's really hard to read when the messages are meant in fun and when they're serious. I've found that if I just take 'em all as if there was a big ol' animated smiley attached, then communication with him is much easier. But I also think that if someone is giving you offense, don't just take it - give it back! Me & ol' TDL went many rounds a couple years back before he finally saw the light and realized just what an intelligent and thoughtful person I was, as well as being the smartest person in the known universe!
