Now is the time to step up and be recognized as someone who, either past or present, got to perform at Disneyland in a marching band, concert band, dance troupe, etc.

    We begin with...me.

Yes, I had several opportunities in my high school days to march down Main Street in my high school marching band.

Definitely times where none of us minded coming to a mandatory school function on a Saturday, believe me.

Alrighty, then: Stand up and be counted!

It was super fantastic to actually be able to preform in Disneyland and it was my first trip to DL ever. I had been a crazy fan long before ever being there so to have my first trip with all my friends and get to go backstage to have music clinics with Disney Cast members was truly a dream come true.

Turned out she forgot to bring her flute (her fathers daughter) so they put her in charge of the teachers grandchildren and the 3 of them marched at the head of the band. She brought her full uniform but was stripped of the goo gahs like feathers and cords as other members had forgotten them and didn't want to be in trouble with the teacher :) They stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, ate at Tiffy's, got the behind the scenes tour and had a blast!

I really regret not taking our other kids out of school and heading down to watch them. I'd do it in a heartbeat now.

Our DD was "well versed" in Disneyland and the Disneyland Hotel (knew she could call housekeeping for extra pillows and shampoo:)and was the go to girl for where things were and what not to miss. I know it was a happy growing experience for her.

We warmed up backstage by the Circle D ranch and then took the road behind Tomorrowland around to Town Square. From there, we went on stage and line up in front of the Main Street Station and performed a set that's probably about 20 minutes long. Then, we marched up the parade route to it's a small world, and then head backstage again. It was interesting, since we went on about 30 minutes before the parade, so there were people already waiting in their spots to see it, and the CM's backstage were also getting ready for it. We marched past the toy soldiers warming up, half way in costume. It's pretty fun, since it's not too long of a show, but it's less fun because we knew that there was a much longer parade ahead of us in just a couple days.

Besides, you work at the place!

Saw you at Midway Mania one afternoon, in fact.

I'm debating whether or not to count tutus, however...

Three of my kids got to do Magic Music Days with their high school bands. Did not get to see any of them. That makes me sad. Don't think we even have any pictures.

My high school band went to Disneyland every year but we never got to perform. (We did practice in the parking lot though.)

We got to go "backstage" and learn how the Disney musicians put the music to movies. We got to try it and it was a bit unsuccessful, but amazing nonetheless.
Im really proud of my high school music career- I was the drum major.

My mom being the Disney Nutt she is was very proud to have her boys be a part of that!
