Oceanside, just north of Legoland, does have a nice stretch of beach, with good parking and one of the longest piers in California, but no games or rides. Originally Posted By mousegrl San Clemente has a nice pier, as well and Oceanside, but no big boardwalks. The piers both have restraunts and are very nice. But no boardwalks with rides, games, ect. on the way to legoland. I love the beach at the San Clemente pier. Lots of surfers, a swingset on the beach, and on the road down to the pier, a nice street lined with many local shops. I haven't been to the Oceanside pier in a long time, but I used to love it. I hear Oceanside has made many improvements to their city. LOTS of Marines hang out in Oceanside. That pier has a nice restraunt at the end of it.
