If you're hanging on to your gift cards and sticking with Deluxe, you can spend your 'em any way you want. And, also like Villains said, you can go to the bank any time that same day. I went when the line was practically nil. Do not wait until the end of the day, when the park closes. Super long lines!

The ticket booths open 1/2 hour before the park, right? I ask because I am only going to be there for 1 day with my brother, who hasn't been to DL since he was 11 (22 years ago). I want to make this a special trip for him and don't want to make him wait around and miss being toward the front of the line at opening. ( I know, I know, I am a spazz - can't help it tho. LOL )

No need to go to the bank for processing. Just a note - when we were there 10 days ago - there wasn't a line on the harbor side ticket booths - but there was on the parking garage side. You may want to send your brother to check while you wait in the line.
