They have about 4 or 5 high schools there each night so with only 6 rides the lines will back up. Part of the fun of grad night is going on the rides with no wait, given the fact that both TOT and RNRC are there will mean those get inslanley long lines which will make it a bad experiance. Now im guessing thats one reason why they are moving it there cause it has a lot more fun thrill rides, but to me its not a very good reason. where in the magic kingdom park there are more rides, and even though there not as thrilling there fun, and the idea of where you are is priceless. Plus the amount of rides helps keep long lines from forming. Another reason why it's bad is because its just a very cool idea to be able to spend grad night at disneyland or maigc kingdom and have the parks basicly to yourself and it seems like part of that fun will be taken away by spending it in a second lesser park, it just wouldn't be as special. Its like if they moved grad night at disneyland to dca ( which im actually amazed they haven't done yet considering its wide array of thrill rides.) it would take the icing off the cake. anyway those are my thoughts, what do others think??

As to the Magic Kingdom being "to yourself" during Grad Night, when I went ('96) there were 2 hour waits for some attractions (Alien Encounter, Space Mountain), so I cant imagine how the Studios will handle the crowds. For me personally I saw Grad Night as the last time of truing going to the Magic Kingdom while still a child, before taking adult responsiblities.

And then my next question is why does this news upset anyone? This has become more a right of passage than any teenagers love for a Disney park...

One of the Biggest Issues at the Magic Kingdom for these events has always been crowd control at the Concert Venues.

At DHS, where they are used to Dealing with larger shows crowds, let alone having a theaters in which they can be performed.

Generally the Magic Kingdom events used all of its venues and has even set up temporary ones when needed. After this weekends Night of Joy with the Studios using 3 venues we should be better able to judge how well the Studios park will perform for this type of event over the Magic Kingdom.

I like the staffing idea too. DHS is overall cheaper.

I also disagree that DHS is becoming the DCA of California. DHS always was the underdeveloped park. There is only so much that can be done with movies, and alot of the dark rides that would have been good at DHS were already taken at Magic Kingdom, or did not fit the feeling of Hollywood that WDW was trying to convey.

Really? I guess things have changed dramatically since I went years back at Dl.

That night was absolutely packed beyond belief as busload after busload deposited 17 and 18 year olds by the thousands. I've never seen Dl so crowded in my 40+ visits.

I guess things are different now in Orlando.
