Upgrade tickets to reset biometric reader?

    A friend of mine told me that he got partially used tickets from somebody and he was able to upgrade the tickets to annual passes. He was issued new annual pass tickets and the biometric readers were set to his print the first time he entered the park with the new tickets. Can anybody confirm that this is possible? I know that ticket upgrades are possible but is the reissue of tickets such as in an upgrade situation a way to beat the system on the biometric readers?

    The question is whether the biometric info is stored on the ticket or in the system. If its on the ticket when a new ticket is issued it would read the print and store it. But I am not sure what system of storage Disney uses.
