I also remember going to Disneyland in the early 80s and thinking how reasonable the food prices were. That would have been right before Eisner and Wells took charge, and began raising ticket and food prices. Sure, you have a 'captive audience' at the Disney Resorts and you 'can' get $3 for a snack-size bag of Doritos, but should you?

I don't like the higher prices any more than anyone else-- but people, have you been to a ball game lately ? Soda at Wrigley $4 Beer $8 and the newest item - nacho's in a cheep plastic helmet $17.... this is not a WDW phenomenon. Now yes I do believe DDP has something to do with this also- I hate that plan because dining at WDW is one of our favorite things-- luckily my tables in wonderland card defrays 20% of the hit..but they need to stop giving away meals that they feel they need to overprice to make that deal seem so much better.

That's a way of life there. But it is getting bad around the rest of the country for all entertainment venues. People just need to cut back. I still say 3 hours at a ball game vs 168 hours at WDW. I can go without at the ball game. A week is to long of a fast for me.
