Made a couple of calls & viol`a I have a trip planned! Didn't go the parks last time we were down so I'm in desperate need of some park time. ER has been hideous & I'm weary of reality, need some fantasy to make me forget even if just for a moment how raw & punitive life can be(wow where'd that come from). Sooooooo I checked the flts & decided to treat my daughter & myself to a nite or two @ the BW. Got an amazing deal. Booked BW & made res @ the Garden View Lounge for afternoon tea. Now I know that this a yawner for many but it just makes me smile so I'm sharing! It's a win/win...visit with my daughter & the Mouse, life can be sweet sometimes.

So folks here's your chance to chime in with your favs. I'ld love to here which & why. We'll most likely go to a couple if time permits but I definately want to hit at least one I haven't enjoyed yet. Thx as you can see I'm getting pretty excited & @ my age that could be lethal!

Essentially Alfredo's left sponsorship and Patina picked the place up. So, I don't recommend it. I've also never been a fan of China and I recently went there after it's refurb and menu change. The food was ok and the interior was nicely redone, but it was just ok, not amazing or great.. ya know? I prefer quick service for the food quality, or rather, they seem the same. As for Japan, the Tokyo Dining is one of my favorite place in World Showcase. Teppan Edo is nice, but not changed much since the refurb, but Tokyo Dining is essentially a whole new offering over what it used to be - and it has a gorgeous view of the lagoon. I went two skeptics, and one fan of Japanese food, the skeptics pouted at the menu offerings and prices while the Nihon-phile was intrigued. Once we ordered, everyone was very happy though - very very happy. The service was great and the food was very good. Admittedly it was a matter of knowing the food well enough to get the two skeptics to eat something.. but what they had they were more then happy with, and since they were price conscious they were happy with the serving size too. Nihon-phile had some crazy stuff and all sorts of sushi and I got my usual Bento box of variety (I think were there for a late lunch). Also, drink-wise, the Samurai I believe is the name of a lovely drink which is essentially something like a glass filled with vodka, a splash of plum wine to take the edge off, and then a slice of lime in case you need it. Stoic, crystal clear, and puts anyone in a great mood.

Tutto Italia was definitely our best meal this last trip, and one of the better meals of any WDW trip. While pricey (like everything at WDW) the food was exceptional. I highly recommend the Casareci, and the Farfalle. Service was also excellent. The only drawback is the seating seems more crowded here than other restaurants.

Almost like you sitting on top of one another but we enjoyed the food so this may be one of our picks. Does anyone have a suggestion @ the resorts?

I'm not a very adventurous eater, but I was able to find something exotic enough that it was an experience, but mild enough that I enjoyed it as well. There some unpleasant after-effects (for me and someone else in our group) that we traced back to our meal there, but that only lasted a couple hours...

China? Haven't been back since it had its redo. Have made three PSs each of my last trips only to cancel. The menu has really been stripped bare. This place actually had a multiple page menu as recently as three years ago. Now, it's about 10 choices ... and Chinese chicken salad just isn't ever going to work for me. This isn't TGI Friday's or Applebys (that's gotta be spelled wrong but it is 3 a.m.!) Frankly, unless you know a CM that is getting a special discount (something beyond the 20%) I wouldn't go to any of them. But if I had to pick one, Tepan Edo would be far and away by choice. As to the resorts, Sanaa is definitely the best new locale. Just don't order a burger there! If you really want some Spirited secrets, you know how to reach me with your special Spirit LE pin/holographic communicator. But I'd use it in the next 36 hours!

The food was pretty good for counter, lots of it & cheap by Disney standards. Scrambled eggs(lg portion), 3 full pcs of bacon, a lg hash brown patty & a biscuit for $6.29. That's cheaper than the food courts @ the resorts. On top of that there was a coupon @ the bottom of the receipt for 20% off your total purchase @ The Emporium, Mouse Gear, Mickey's of Hollywood & Kestone Clothiers, Island Mercantile or WoD between the hours of 9am-12pm valid thru April 17. Went to DHS in the afternoon & EPCOT that evening. Had a great time. Did all the parks except MK. Ended up eating @ Marrakesh Sat evening~daughter's choice. It was good & the entertainment was fun. Completely enjoyed the BW. The room was lovely & the bed very comfortable. Got a 1pm check-out which was great. We slept in then took our time getting ready. We had to pick up something @ DHS that we had embroidered the day before then headed to GF for tea. Best of all got to spend lots of quality time with my daughter. The weather was lovely & all was right with the world for a while. Got in went straight to see my grandson's & of course give them a little something from Mickey. Tomorrow it's back to reality & not quite sure I'm ready but I'm certainly better then when I left!
