I'd like to continue to eat a little healthier too, but that's always a struggle.

Now that I'm not anemic I am a lot stronger. I couldn't do much last year because I was so lightheaded all of the time. It is pretty awesome to be able to be on my feet for more than a few minutes at a time. At first I was kind of afraid that I wouldn't have an excuse to be lazy but honestly, I feel a lot more energy and moving around is much easier.

For the most part, I think it's my lack of exercise that keeps me at my current weight, not the fact that I overeat much. I am not one of those people who eats gigantic portions throughout the day. I do sometimes turn to food to make me feel better but I've done that a lot less now that I have so many friends to turn to.

Right now I haven't seen a lot of one group of friends and probably won't see them until March or so...I'm using that as my inspiration to stick to a plan.

Sadly, a lot of the past 2 years have just been about survival for me. I've spent a lot of time just trying to muster up the strength to keep on trying each day...dieting was beyond the scope of what I could handle. When life is total crap and you are daydreaming about checking out, you really don't spend much time worrying about the size of your jeans, you know? Hopefully this year won't be so hard to get through and I'll be able to think about making things better, not just keeping a toehold on my sanity.

With hubby finally having the opportunity to work more overtime (of course now I hardly see him but what can ya do) I can focus more on getting back into shape and build up the work hours later.

Here's hoping everyong sticks to their goals and has a great year!

It may be a walk, it may be vaccuuming, it may be just dancing around my apartment like a ninny but it will be something and it will be at least 20 minutes. Today it was the vacuumming that got me on my feet. Also I am about to go to the store and shop for healthy food so I can get started on that too.

I am happy to look back at 2006 and realize that all in all I have done pretty well. Not enough exercise of course but getting better.
I know that the eating healthier is working cuz I kinda let myself go since a couple of days before Christmas and have reflux and other gastro intestinal distress.
So my true goal is to keep doing what I have been and get a bit better. I mean, why do I go on an eating binge just to feel worse???
My goal for last year that I did not keep was to walk the dogs every night after Jeopardy. I really want to work on that as the dogs need it as much as I.

My best to you Candice and April. When I visit in the spring we can go to Fresh Choice (Zoompas) or something instead of the CCF.

I find the process of finding a doctor, making an appointment, asking for time off work, and getting to the appointment on time to be incredibly overwhelming, and the idea of dealing with it multiple times over makes me want to curl up and wish it all away. Then of course, there are the follow-ups and lab work and getting prescriptions filled and whatnot.

    Yikes!

Maybe I should have put this in the Whiny thread...

I feel much better...but still my energy stores are pretty low and things aren't perfect. I wish I hadn't waited so darn long to do what I needed to do. It really wasn't that big of a deal once I got the ball rolling.

But I understand how hard that first step can be!

Guess last year I had given myself a concussion but wouldn't let my husband take me to the emergency room. (I think I have a fear of doctor thing or something).

I've tackled the depression this year finally and right now I've promissed my family to see a specialist to address the migraines. Turns out I haven't been having panic attacks, they were auras (sp?) caused by migraines. Huh, who'd a thunk. =P

The problem is that the medication that you take for migraines makes me really stupid. Not haha Sherry's silly stupid, but just STUPID. And then of course there was the whole thing with my last boss stealing my migraine medication to try to get high and telling people I was a drug addict, but that's another story.
