They could also possibly capitalize more with Indiana Jones as well. Something tells me that something big may possibly be coming to Orlando in a few years...

I think that yes, there will be a Star Wars expansion coming to Orlando. The question is will they do it fast enough to capitalize on the momentum? Disney hasn't shown the ability to move quickly on projects at all. Heck, since they bought Pixar the only big US project just opened a few months ago. If we have to wait 5+ years for a Star Wars addition, it's not going to carry the same punch. Universal has shown they can fast track a build, considering we should have 3 new E-ticket attractions built and open in the next 18-20 months. Disney has the ability and resources to do it as well. Come on, mouse. You shelled out for the properties. Now DO SOMETHING with them. I want my geek paradise to finally be realize! Harry Potter, Transformers, Spider-Man, Star Wars land, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Disney living in harmony.

They're both huge movie franchises with large fan bases. Sound pretty similar to me. True, one skews more towards children than the other, but you have to admit that they are somewhat similar. Though frankly, I think in the long run, Star Wars will prove to be the more popular concept. It's already lasted over 30 years, and with new movies coming, should last even longer. I'm not sure what Rowling has in mind for Potter, but I don't think more movies are coming anytime in the foreseeable future.

I think both have become deeply ingrained in the public psyche, and neither will really lose their overall appeal. As Star Wars was passed down to me by the generation above me (before the prequels were released), Potter will be passed down by generations. As for no more Potter on the way...I think we'll see more Potter-verse items from Rowling sooner than we think

She'll write another book in the universe when she's ready...and I think we'll have another book related to the series within the decade.

Because if the ride experience sucks no one is going to care about how popular the franchise is. In the broadest sense, yes they are comparable, but until Disney tells us what they plan to do at the parks there's nothing to talk about.
