Shortly after, at the NFFC summer convention, a number of us were waiting in line for the seminar doors to open. Cynthia was the speaker, and she came around the corner with a small clutch of handlers. As she swept down the hall to the stage entrance, she suddenly stopped, stepped up to me, and exclaimed, "Doug! You didn't come here and stand in line to hear me, did you?" We exchanged some quick words, and then she moved on. Well! everyone in line looked at me as if I were related to Walt! That's just the sort of gesture that made Cynthia so special to me. And why I do miss her very much.

All where very enjoyable, the one I will remember the most is the last meeting a few months back. I was walking through the park looking around and happened to look forward and Ms. Harriss was walking straight at me with a big smile and an extended hand like we were life long friends. She asked me how I was doing and stated that she had not seen me in a while and wished me a “good dayâ€. Like Rebecca I also have some handwritten responses to letters that I had sent her. They are some of my most treasured additions to my Disneyland collection. I will truly miss her smiling face and wherever she goes from here it will their gain and the resorts loss.

I don't know how she ever kept that huge smile on her face all the time, especially having to work with upper management at the Disney Co. She seemed to love getting involved in all the little extra events at the park. We'll miss you Cynthia! Dan B :-(

From the pictures posted here on LP and the few times I saw her around the park, I too noticed the twinkle in Cynthia Harris's eye. Has anyone heard what she is doing now? She's sure to be an asset to any company she joins.

She immediately turned and came over and started talking to me. When I said that I actually enjoyed the event, she said, "I am SO glad." I also ran into her last December in Club 33. She was there with all the Ambasadors from around the world. As she walked past me I said, "Hello, Cynthia" and she stopped to talk to me. She talked with me for over 5 minutes, saying how much she enjoyed the Aladdin show, etc. And this was while she was holding her plate filled with food!. I will miss her. Please keep us updated on what she is doing and where she is working. ...George

I remember one time see saw me in NOS and came over to specifically say hi to me. I was totally amazed as she had only met me once before. She greeted me by name. I introduced her to my friend, Scott. He was totally blown away. That, I, all the way from Wisconsin, could introduce the President of Disneyland to him, a local who was in the Park weekly. He had not known who she was. A month later, at the Candlelight Ceremony, she saw him and said hi. His wife was the next one to be totally surprised (and impressed!). Regardless of what happened she was and still is a super-friendly people person with class (just like you and Doobie!).

The first time I met her was at the Disneyana Convention in 2001: http://www.myads.com/LP/photos /bwanabob2.jpg I told her I knew who she was from reading LP. She immediately began talking about how wonderful LP is and that she always enjoyed talking to Doobie and Rebekah and other LP fans in the parks. She just blew me away. Thanks for your magical stories, Rebekah. And thanks for highlighting Cynthia with this one.
