IN GENERAL, the flu can be deadly for babies, elderly folks, and others who are otherwise unhealthy (makes sense). But then there's another weird angle where people who are strong and otherwise in good heath succumb to the virus and can't recover. It's my understanding that is due to otherwise healthy immune systems overreacting to the bug and essentially going into overdrive to the point of burnout (in other words it's not the bug, but rather the bodies' reaction to it that kills those folks).

As long as you get Tamiflu or a like drug, you should be ok. I'm in that group of people I would not want to be in the parks with a ton of sick people who want to get their vacations in no matter what. Might be a good idea for the first aid stations to stock up on some Tamiflu.
