This covers the situation where you simply forget your AP at home that day as a courtesy. But once you use up your once-a-year courtesy, then you must pay for a replacement card should the same thing happen again. And, I think replacement cards are at least $20 these days (except probably for the OP's situation where the card is damaged and not lost).
