MuppetVision isn't going anywhere, especially after the mildly succesful Muppet movie that just came out. When elecTRONica is over and the Tron movie stops playing there every night, they'll go back to running MuppetVision to mostly empty theaters until the park closes. ;-)

Very odd. Is this one of those American turns of phrase that we all don't get, like, "could care less" and "write me"?

Sorry, and not trying to be rude, but, I do not understand any of that post. What do you mean? I am fully aware that I am not the brightest bulb on the tree, but I do not comprehend it at all.

    It my just be me!

By the phrase "looking to get rid of this ride", it simply means that, in the past, Disney has cut back on hours for specific rides or made them seasonal in an effort to lower interest in it so they can justify it's removal. This would be good if they always replaced it with something, but they don't always do that.

The other two phrases..."could care less" is actually incorrect. The proper phrase is "couldn't care less". Could care less means that someone still cares at least a little, but really isn't an actual usage phrase.

"Write me" is pretty self explanatory. It means "drop me a note" or "send me a note". This could be hand written (where the phrase comes from) or in more current vernacular...e-mail or text!

I'm in favour of it being replaced but just updated would be a start..

( and in Australia we say ' couldn't care less' and ' write to me' because they make more sense that way!)

And you are correct about "could care less". It grates with me EVERY time.

As for "write me", that is an American saying. In Australia and England we would say "write TO me". And yes, I know, I KNOW about the "text me" argument. "Write to me" sounds correct to someone from Australia or Britain. "Write me" sounds odd but we have to put up with it because unfortunately, American pop culture is so pervasive.

And please remember, it's all subjective. Just like my dad changed the channel when we were watching "MASH" in the '70's and one night Hawkeye mentioned kicking someone in the fanny. The old man was DISGUSTED. "Fanny" means something VERY different here and now, in this day and age, elicits HUGE laughs from a Pom or Aussie when we here Americans referring to a woman "falling on her fanny".

    Ouch!

(Then again, if you pay careful attention to Enchanted, Giselle is not actually a princess. She's just a fair maiden with woodland friends who is about to marry a prince, making her just a fair maiden)

Oh - I only saw it once years ago and forgot that. She looks like a princess, however!

Even after you smoke a fag?

Means something VERY different here but I bet if you're American and read that you are going to interpret it VERY differently!
