    ( I raised £125 last time).

It's 5km. (just over 3 miles) so training to be done. I do 3 miles twice a week at the moment and love it, but want to increase my speed before then. I did it in 31 mins last year, I want to beat that this time..PLUS Ive signed up with one of the fittest women who goes to the same gym as me, which was a little silly..lol. She runs for miles without breaking a sweat!

So anyway, wish us all good luck please.
Here's the website if you want to have a look.

And by the way, I'd like to go on and on about how beautiful you are, how fit and athletic you look, but I can't as I am happily married and me doing that would be viewed as inapporpriate. I guess however, you could tell Mr. bloona that several guys back in the US think he's a very lucky man. ;)

    Taken from the org's site:

<<<Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 3,000 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.>>>

Ive lost a Grandma,an Uncle an Aunty a Great Aunt a good friend and Patrick's Grandma to cancer. Im sure most people can name people who they've lost to the terrible illness.

Ive also had another Grandma and a good friend cured of the awful awful disease. Hopefully things like this will make a difference.

    About Race for Life

Since it started in 1994, Race for Life has grown to become the UK’s biggest women-only fundraising event. All the money raised by our participants helps fund the crucial work of Cancer Research UK – the world’s leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research.

So far, over two million women of all ages have run, walked or jogged to raise over £140 million in sponsorship for the charity. This year we hope to raise £60 million for our life-saving work by bringing an amazing 800,000 women together to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

I was a stone heavier when I ran it last year. But obviously I was also a year younger, so not sure how I'll do. Im excited though. Hope it doesnt rain, if it does, I'll be the one with mascara down my face and dark brown hair dye running down my face (should get in the local paper at least that way this time!)
