I also encourage any first timers that may be with them that this is the trip they need to aquire their ears on, kinda like iniation into the happiest place on earth.

Of course I got the golden ears and I put them on to take a picture with Mickey.

Usually my grandkids wear them the entire time in the park.

It started to rain about 30 minutes after I bought them. LOL I got about 4 pictures of my son, and NONE of my daughter. We are surprising them with a trip next month. I think I might take the ears along and have us all wear them for a day. I was debating about taking them, because I dont want them to get ruined- but then I realized that is really dumb becuase I can buy more if something happens. LOL

I find them to feel a little weird, and didn't buy them for myself. Hubby cheats and usually buys himself a hat at the character warehouse instead. Nothing against Disney headwear, I never wear a hat.

On the 50th anniversary i wore my golden complimentary ears on top of my hood, and walked around eating the cup cakes with the awful icing.

The ears fell off constantly, and since i wasn't a girl, i didn't have a bobby pin, but i tried to keep them on. Most of the guests did have them on. I think from photographs you will see the cast members were not allowed to wear them unless asked.

One nice thing about the 50th, 4 times my ears fell off without me even knowing it, and guests told me immediately, and once chased me down to tell me, and point at my ears on the ground. No one picked them up, or grabbed them and ran. People watched me go back to get them, and weren't satisfied til i had my personal golden ears back again.

It was a sort of spiritual feeling, hard to describe. I felt like the Mickey Mouse club was so sensitive to me and all people in general, that instead of being suffocated, i was accepted and given freedom.

There was a respect among people that seems to be missing outside the berm now a days.

I have a pair of plain black ears with my name on them.

I have two golden ears, regular with my name. I have two golden ears, July 17, 2005 versions.

I have two Club 33 hats and a standard princess hat.

I have very long hair and it's so much easier wearing ears or a hat to keep me in some sort of a 'do at the park. Otherwise, I'd look like an unruly banshee with wavy and fluffy hair. I once had the perfect hair and what does Husband want to do? Ride Splash. Yeah, I got a another hat that day.

I think it's fun when I see grandpas and other parent types in the parks in various headgear. I also love when we see otherwise "cool" teenagers in some sort of silly garb.
