I assume this is to make room for the Frozen stuff that's rumored for late December. While it seems like that will have a more kid-friendly approach and focus on daytime entertainment, I'm hoping we get some Frozen daiquiris and Let It Gojitos...

As for what's replacing it, this will be a step down in terms of appeal for me. I overdosed on Frozen a long time ago.

That's one of my big complaints about the Mad T Party. With the "activity stations" where you watch the band, play arcade games, and watch the dancers, it feels like somebody is holding your hand and telling you where to go, rather than experiencing it on your own. It reminds me of the Wilderness Explorer overlay on the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, which always skewed to a younger age group than TSI, but really began to pander with the official to-do list

ElecTRONica definitely had the most adult vibe of the 3 with its sleek design and moody entrance music, but I still think that GlowFest struck the balance perfectly. It managed to feel like a real block party, where everybody was welcome. I never felt strange for having an adult beverage, and it also stayed entirely welcoming to families throughout. I also like the more broad non-franchise based theme, though there were tons of character silhouettes incorporated into the decor. I think that part of the shift in tone has been due to the shifting audience as it's become more and more of a local's hangout, but the design and music of GF really struck the right balance of being kid-friendly while also making a true party atmosphere. Had one of the other versions been the first, I doubt it would have been extended beyond its initial summer run

    Tick, tick, tick...

I don't know what the Frozen stuff entails, but I hope we'll get to see that area without the huge 'temporary' stages and lighting rigs. When they redid it for the Monsters opening, it was actually a pretty charming area, but you'd never know that by looking at it now

Or is it all just the simpler snowflakes? The snowflakes are much more generic winter-themed, rather than Christmas/Holiday, suggesting they could stay and be used for a lot longer.

They've also added light-up snowflakes to the lampposts along the Performance Corridor. I'm surprised that the usually-snarky MiceAge update crews have seen them as a positive change, since they look like what you'd find at any small strip mall in the country
