I thought the trailers were a little misleading. This is definitely a kids movie, but the audience I saw it with last night at 10 pm was mostly guys in their 20s. They must have thought it was some sort of good sci-fi film. Pretty sure it failed to deliver for them.

I really enjoyed the message of optimism, and finding the way to a better tomorrow through all kinds of innovation an creativity, but it felt like the film tried too hard to pound the message in. Who are we looking for again? Oh right, "dreamers." Like I didn't hear you the first three times you said it.

The two young girls were great. Hugh Laurie did the best he could with the one-dimensional character. I felt sorry for George Clooney and his wasted talents. Some of the lines were just poorly written.

    Interested to hear your thoughts.

Yes the third act needed a little work but stll enjoyed it.

It really reminded me of the good old Disney Family movies. Stunning visuals, fun comedic Sci fi animatronics characters and a movie that accomplishes to entertain without the need of extreme violence.

Really made me pull out my old VHS of Disney live action classics like escape to witch mountain and watch them.

Its a great Family movie which is lacking right now in theaters

    Sorry...

Very disappointed. Convoluted plot, one-dimensional characters, really kind of a mess.

It's a movie that couldn't decide what it wanted to be, tried to throw in all kinds of things, really didn't succeed at any of it.

Sure, the special effects are certainly well done, and perhaps the original concept of the movie is lofty, but it seems like they got lost during the process-- and as it is now -- who cares?

    SPOILER ALERT

Starting the movie from Clooney's point of view was a poor choice - because now the whole movie is a flashback and we know Clooney's not in danger.

    Ugh. :-/

I had great hopes for 'Tomorrowland' and after it's all over, I'll throw out some dialogue from Hugh Laurie's ridiculous and over the top character --

    'Bollocks'

I would totally recommend this movie and I am hoping to see it again in theaters (Seeing it in IMAX is so worth it!)

Side note: I preferred this to Avengers. SUE ME.

For what it's worth, I was really disappointed in Avengers, and I'm a huge Joss Wheden fan. I loved the first one.

I thought Tomorrowland suffered from some basic storyboarding problems. If you show a character always wearing a NASA hat, and she gives backstory on the hat, and she searches desperately for the hat when it falls in the swamp, then logically, when the hat falls off in Tomorrowland you HAVE TO follow up. Where did it land? Did she ever get it back? Why did you waste screen time on the stupid hat?

Amen. In another scene, Athena dumps the girl out of the truck at George Clooney's house - they go through all that stuff in the house, escaping and killing off animatronic mean guys, jump into a bathtub that blasts off and flies into a swamp 300 yards away, and then they all end up in the truck with Athena.

Great scene - but really.. All that for that?

And Britt Robertson is a teenager about as much as John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John were in 'Grease,'

And ultimately, of all the characters in the movie, we care most about Athena - an audio-animatronic.

    Not good!

Box Office Mojo is reporting the film took in less than $42 million for all four days. OUCH!
