IS there room at the back to make the fourth part of a square complex? This will be determined by resort sell-out capacity. Hard to believe people can still afford to stay on property and the future travel costs are already escalating. Has anybody been monitoring the airlines lately? I know the locals rarely consider this because they are lucky enough to be nearby. Of course the price of gasoline is not going to be fun either. Any rumors about price increases for Annual passes? Better start saving for the DL Holiday parties...

I know the access road he's referring to, and always thought it was for maintenance carts and landscaping type vehicles. The problem with this location is that the rooms would overlook parking lots. The rooms facing east would overlook what now appears to be a passenger pick-up/drop-off and taxi loop, and more parking lot for DTD, while west facing rooms would overlook DLH the lots for DLH and a rather large garage. This tower wouldn't have any connection to the newly refurbished pool area or the grassy and landscaped quad. Al also mentions ... >> And the main lobby of what will become the Fantasyland Tower will get the most radically themed redesign as the arrival complex for the entire hotel. << Perhaps they'd extend this proposed "radical redesign" of the hotel tower to fantasyland theming and run it outside, but they'll still need plenty of pavement for approaches to the entrance. As for the 'back' side of the existing DLH square, I think that would create problems with the people on Walnut Street. Probably not going to happen.

But since they decided to do a HUGE overhaul, I would hate to see another boxy tower built to expand this property. Interested to see what these new themed lobby levels and entrance marques fro each tower look like. Overall I am liking the Blue/Cream color scheme too.

Remember? Back in 2001 the giddy planners of the Disneyland Resort ordered a pair of beautifully themed busses, and established a dedicated street that ran from the Mickey and Friends parking structure to the Paradise Pier Hotel. Of course, the crowds failed to materialize, the busses were mothballed, and after 9/11, the street was studded with concrete "planters." So it would be nice to see this area put to some good use...
