That would definitely be a huge selling point for me >>I keep hoping that Disney will give WDW the same CD treatment it did Disneyland with a musical history of WDW. But not holding my breath<< I agree. I think there's a good market for it, especially for all of the old Epcot music that's been lost through the years. I know I'm not an average visitor, but I would pay big bucks for a 2-3 disc set that includes the original Future World themes and area music, plus some of the more unique stuff from World Showcase.

Too many rights involved and WDP&R Legal won't ever lock them down during production any more. I've got a copy of the Abbey Road recordings (both pre- and post-Iger reviews) and they really are first-class. It is a real shame that fans won't ever get to hear them.

The LE version was supposed to be supported by the mass market version but it just didn't sell. I'm told Randy Thornton posts on various Disney music message boards so he may refute that info - but that is what they told us when we were asking about WoC CDs.

Since a lot of the music (especially in the first half) is directly lifted from the original soundtracks, and mostly from newer films with more detailed agreements, it makes sense that they would have a lot more legal considerations regarding its distribution I would definitely like to hear the soundtrack from before Iger's review of the show. While you can definitely tell that the format and configuration of various scenes have been tampered with, it's tough to figure out what got rearranged, and what was there before

All new arrangements recorded by a live orchestra.

But of course, that'd cost money up front, and the Company would rather be penny wise and pound foolish... Leemac, if FA and I agree to meet you in some dark alleyway near 1401 Flower on a moonless night, could you pass us a couple of WoC soundtrack CDs? I've been practicing my "dead drop", and I've got the cloak and everything...

Yes, the fire is fun in the longer POTC bit, but I thought that it was done better with Hellfire. Plus, it's hard to top the score, especially when mixed with Night on Bald Mountain. Given that POTC was already represented in a segment that was roughly the same length as the other featured films, I thought it was really odd that they never switched back after the POTC4 promos stopped. They didn't seem to have any problems removing the other various promotional segments!

I'd incur the wrath of some folks that I don't want to cross! Being a theme park music geek I'm very privileged to have access to the library. It is a tremendous shame that the various park merchandise teams don't share that passion - even to put them up on iTunes or Amazon.
