I was happy to just wait in the theater for all of the hoopla to finish! It was a fantastic show though and testimony to Simon Fuller's love for the attraction - this was his third visit and he managed to cojole all 7 past winners to be present. The new trophy was just icing on the cake.

If they do I will publicly apologise for any negative thoughts I might have had for this shows place at the studio. They had media touring all their DVC projects as a major component of this event. I'd be curious as to how much of the event was paid for by Disney and how much Freemantle kicked in. A friend spoke to David Cook last night in Tallahassee and he was very complimentary of Disney's efforts, so we'll see.

There were five finalists so it would have been a lot of additional footage. BTW the winner is ineligible under the T&Cs of American Idol (he exceeds the age limit) and he decided to give his golden ticket to the runner-up (which is permissible and at the winner's discretion).
