Indeed, but almost every e-ticket built at WDW in the last 10 years has been a thrill ride or non suitable for little ones (even Soarin' has a height restriction). The only possible exception is Motors Action, or if you consider Philharmagic an e-ticket. I suppose the safari is family friendly, but that's not many.

No doubt EE is cool, but that made for at least an hour where the little ones and nana did not ride with us. I'm not anti thrill, but when you list all the thrill quality vs non thrill quality, thrill has been leading the charge.

Soarin is a little bit of a middle ground like Splash Mountain I think...it's certainly mild enough for little ones assuming no fear of heights, and my three year old made the height requirement (barely)...she is average height for her age.

But yes, I do agree that the thrill side has been top-heavy...really since they came up with Tower of Terror I think.

How I wish they would come out with something akin to Tokyo's Pooh ride or Sindbad someplace else!

    Absolutely!

Also, I do not consider Philharmagic an "E" Ticket, though I really enjoy it. Not sure I consider the stuntshow one either. I don't know why, but I prefer the DLP version.

I would prefer to see attractions more like Pirates or the Safari - high quality, nearly everyone can ride.

I think when attractions like pirates and HM were designed and built, they ewre considered thrill rides by disney's standards. I don't think it matters if the ride is a thrill ride per say, I just think they should continue to build attractions with the quality of pirates. I think they did a great job with everest and from what I saw of TSM so far, I thinks its gonna be right up there.

Since then, the E-Ticket dark ride attactions that followed were:

    Splash Mountain
    Tower of Terror
    Rock n' Roller Coaster
    Test Track
    Dinosaur

Plus, we got some other non-dark ride E-Tickets like:

    Kilamanjaro Safaris
    Mission Space
    Expedition Everest

And a few 'D' Ticket redo's or new attractions like:

    Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Journey Into Imagination redo's (personally I feel this was downgraded from the E-Ticket it was)
The Seas With Nemo and Friends
    Gran Fiesta Tour

and soon to open, Toy Story Mania.

WDW desperately needs a new grand and glorious E-Ticket dark ride (without the thrill ride element) in the vein of the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World, 20,000 Leagues, Spaceship Earth, Horizons, World of Motion, Universe of Energy, Journey Into Imagination, and the Great Movie Ride!
