But, what exactly do you need to know about the tickets?

I don't remember the price of the after 2pm tickets but the after 4pm was $39 in advance and around $41 that day. It is a one park ticket. There are also discounts on longer tickets. Since I had the entire day before the symposium (and I am a lunatic) I got a 4 day park hopper for about $225 and spent every spare moment in the parks. You can order the tickets in advance through the website you are given or you can call the number on the website. I called and spoke to an extremely helpful and enthusiastic man named Ernie. If you call, they will want to know the name of the conference you are attending. My tickets were waiting for me at the lobby concierge. If you can get a room in the Casitas section (I was in Casitas 2) you will be pretty close to the convention center. There is a back entrance near the Casitas. Also, The soda machines are $2.50 and I paid over $3 for a 20oz bottle of iced tea at the convenience store. It is worth it to buy the refillable mug if you drink a lot of soda or, if your conference supplies drinks at the break, liberate a can or two of soda! There is a refrigerator in the rooms.

The symposium began on Mon. Sept 25th and I could order tickets at the discount price right through Sat the 23rd. The earlier invitees also got their magical express reservations in time to get the special luggage tags. I was able to make the magical express reservation ( I think you can make it in as little as 24 hours in advance)but I picked up my own bag to bring to the bus. I could have given my luggage claim ticket to the magical express folks and had them bring my bag to the hotel but this was in the time of no liquids or gels whatsover in a carryon and I didn't want to wait up to 3 hours for my hand lotion and make-up!
