    That looks like fun! The thing I like about Roland Emmerich is that unlike Michael Bay, who shares his taste for big scale destruction, Emmerich seems to be aware of what he's doing. I mean essentially he makes B movies with huge budgets and he keeps getting work! What a lucky guy!

    He understands the kinds of movies that he makes and doesn't take the subject so seriously. That way the audience can go "Whoa!" when an aircraft carrier curshes the white house, instead of, "give me a break!" Guilty pleasure, but I think I'll check this one out.

    Interesting that the filmmaker would use an image of the USS John F. Kennedy with full complement of aircraft in 2012 -- considering that the ship was decommissioned in 2007 and no longer in service.
