Even in a limited crowd environment, I found the lines confusing and we weren't quite sure what line each person was in because of their close proximity to each other. The lines just kind of intertwined and felt squished.

It just like Universal Orlando fans demanding that USH's new Transformers the Ride be added to USF when they have already have Spiderman the Ride (also recently updated), when both the movie and the ride (including the vehicles and track layout) for Spiderman and Transformers are almost identical to each other, just with different themes. If guests are saying that they want Test Track's theme to be converted to a Cars theme, complete with the RSR animatronics, then I get that. But, I don't get having both Test Track and RSR at the same resort. They're too similar to each other IMO.

Originally Posted By xrayvision >>Ugh. track layout for Spider-man and Transformers is almost nothing alike, nor is the video.>> I'm sorry but I have to respectfully disagree with you on this point. The Transformers Ride looks like they took all the action points from Spiderman and recreated them, using the Transformers characters instead (from the first scene when the robot dog "jumps" onto the the front of the vehicle instead of Spiderman, to the "falling" sequence when you fall off of a skyscraper and plummet to the ground, until BumbleBee/Spiderman saves you). In between those two scenes, there are so many other action similarities between Transformers and Spiderman, like the time bomb vs burning pumpkin flying toward you and exploding as you enter the next room at the same point in both rides; a drive through a sewer in both rides; getting wet from hydroman/bad transformer in almost same point in the ride, etc. It would be easy for IOA to convert Spiderman to Transformers, if needed. A Transformers themed ride may not fit into a Marvel themed land, but that is also transformable as well.
Originally Posted By HokieSkipper Having ridden spider-man more times than I can count, yest there are 4-5 scenes that are similar. But they come at completely different times in the experiences, save for the fall, and the two track layouts are nothing a like.

But I agree with the point that Carsland would probably be best suited once and not twice. It's nice to have reasons to travel to Disneyland.

We thought it was funny they threw in tons of gigantic beach balls to keep people pre-occupied. The people that were on-board with childen in the saucers barely moved. The ones that were full of adults and all moved in sync with the leaning were all able to move, but not at a fast speed. They removed the joysticks which made the tires spin in place, but it would've been a better idea to leave them in as a boredom buster. The ride and the line moves painfully slow. One other observation is I don't think the air pump things on the track really do anything other than plump up the skin around the tires. The beach balls barely moved up when they moved over the air hole areas. Hope they can get it right soon or it will be as empty as The Little Mermaid attraction.

The beach balls are in constant motion, and sometimes fly up into the air. I think a legitimate argument against them is that some people spend more time trying to get the beach balls than they do getting around in the tires. The line does move terribly slowly, mostly due to the long process involved in unloading and loading the tires. (P.S. I have hardly ever seen the Little Mermaid attraction empty. The line is often quite short, because the attraction has a very high capacity.)
