Being able to have the bedroom was very nice too - So if one of us wanted to watch TV late it was OK - we just closed the bedroom door -

Also the housekeeping washed the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen everyday! :)

Having beds in the bedroom separate from the Murphy Bed in the living room was great. Kids can go to bed while the adults stay up!

The housekeeping service at the Cabins is terrific. I don't think I've ever had so many towel animals made for me. LOL If you leave dishes in the sink housekeeping puts them in the dishwasher and runs it for you. It is a small touch but very nice.

Fort Wilderness itself is awesome. We have stayed there during peak times at WDW (Easter Week, Thanksgiving Week) and even when the MK was so busy it was closed to guests not staying in Disney resorts, Fort Wilderness was quite and peaceful. It seemed like you were 100's of miles away from the craziness of the parks.

The Trail's End buffet at FW is a WONDERFUL place to eat. It is the lowest priced buffet at Disney World and the food is great! We've eaten there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoyed it all. In fact we always eat at the Trail's End... even when we are staying somewhere else.

I also advise renting a golf cart. Although they run $40 - $50 a day they are well worth it (especially if you are there without a car). You can use your cart to get from FW to the parks, but inside the park you must walk, use a golf cart or take a bus. Fort Wilderness is so large that it would take over 30 minutes to walk from the cabins to the Trail's End buffet. With a golf cart you could be there in five minutes. You could also take a bus, and you usually don't have to wait real long for one. But the cart is a heckuva lot more fun.

Man oh man, I love the cabins so much I want to be there RIGHT NOW!! We enjoy everything about FW so much. We even love just sitting in the big rocking chairs on the porch of Crockett's Tavern to enjoy the quiet and beautiful surroundings. It is absolutely impossible to think of anything bad when you are sitting in a rocker on Crockett’s' porch.

It is just a wonderful place to have a WDW vacation; I'm sure you will love it

Loops 2700 and 2800 are for those who really value their privacy!! LOL

Please be aware that at Fort Wilderness things are not as close to your accommodation as they usually are at other resorts. Even when I've said a loop was relatively close to something it could mean a 10 minute walk.
