I also think Disney may have to make the decision on layoffs because who can afford to take the package without hope of finding new work somewhere else? In the past when a package was offered the economy was good enough for someone who wanted to jump ship feel they could find other work (many timed people used it to relocate). But with job prospects being what they are, I think Disney is going to have to push some people out.

It will be interesting to see who goes. More interesting to me is who stays. It will tell us alot about what Disney thinks of some its management and the direction on WDW for the next several years.

Has anyone heard the details of the package? I have asked around and everyone seems to be pretty closed lipped about it. I have a friend just under the directors level and he said he hasnt heard any details on the package. People are being unusually tight lipped.

Now ... that's the positive spin.

The negative would be that the few good managers left, who are tired of the BS and feel (probably likely so) that they'll be axed if they don't take it, will take it and run ... and the crap will stay ... and a few months from now they'll still have layoffs for frontliners.

I'm trying to see things positively now ... but maybe it's just my meds.

WTF do I care about their issues, they have a job to do, if they have moral issues, let them work in a pharmacy for a church or private organization ...)

I have gotten into arguments at pharmacies about filling normal, legal prescriptions ... I have been told that certain meds must be filled on the EXACT day they are due (an absurdity as you could be traveling or run into ...) the latest deal where pharmacies are running out of basic drugs(at least here in SoFla) like antibiotics for WEEKS (think about that ... how can that be?) ... I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but the government is screwing around ... and I doubt that our new Prez can deal with it right now as it's not like he was left a country in relatively good shape ... like say in 2000.

My buddy Mr. Pierce may not like the above, but it is my latest hot buttom topic after being denied antibiotics because a pharmacist didn't feel 'comfortable' filling it.

Oh well, to get back on topic I doubt that any WDW exec or manager is on any meds like Vicodin or what was Rush addicted to ... oh yeah, oxycontin ... they're just high on pixie dust, thankfully!

After losing their jobs, the Disney execs won't be able to afford even aspirin.

I'll take some Bobbelee. I don't think I've got any of those, and my medicine chest is pretty full. The Pharmacist gets a big smile on her face when she sees me coming.

Spirit my friend you have the worse luck of anybody I know. You Might be surprised at my opinion on this matter. A person goes to school a long time to become a Pharmacist. They take a job knowing what that job entails. If they have moral issues about what they are required to do, they need to find another job, period.
I'm sure that members of most religious faiths visit the Pharmacy , and get all kinds of drugs, and forms of birth control without any moral condemnations from their church. If what you were referring to is the issue the Cathloic Church has with birth control that is an entirely different subject matter. I will not be so presumptuous as to tell one billion people that their religion is wrong. I leave the subject of what each person chooses to believe up to that individual.

Right now the Catholic Church is all up in arms about abortion. If the FOCA thing goes through Catholic hospitals will have to perform abortions, or go out of business.

Every body has an issue with Spirit. Maybe it was an evil plot by the Management of TWDC, so he would die from infection.
