And Shia LaBoef as - SPOILER ALERT NOT SURPRISING - Indy's son. Cookie cutter all around. Hopefully, they can learn from 'The Force Awakens' as far as production - that movie was more like an 'Indiana Jones' movie really. Here's hoping.

Originally Posted By FerretAfros I enjoyed the first 3 Indy movies (I agree that Temple of Doom is a lot of fun), but the 4th one wasn't great. The entire Indiana Jones series has always been a revival of the old adventure B-list movies, so I'm fine with them being a little campy. I agree that Harrison Ford should probably be less physical this time around, but there's still a story to be told As for the logo, I think it would be relatively easy to make a castle-shaped logo from a mountain or temple (something like Angkor Watt would be especially easy to work with), and then use that to fade into the scenery. Disney has done stylized castles before (like Tron), so why not take it a little further? Or a European setting could also be fun, since it hasn't really been done yet in the series

The Marvel movies were already in production and Paramount had contract with Marvel when Disney bought Marvel. The distribution deal between Marvel and Paramount lasted from Iron Man to Avengers. Disney had to buy them out to get all the distribution rights of all Films. The logo of Paramount is still in the movie, because of a stipulation in the contract. Indiana Jones 1-4 distribution rights are still at Paramount, while the IP and the distribution rights for future IJ movies are with Disney. So I don't think Paramount has any involvement except for a financial participation. From Wikipedia: >>>In October 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm, thereby granting Disney ownership rights to the Indiana Jones intellectual property.[43][44] However, Paramount Pictures continued to own distribution rights for the film series.[45][46] On December 6, 2013, Disney purchased the remaining distribution and marketing rights to future Indiana Jones films, while Paramount will continue to distribute the first four films for Disney, and will receive "financial participation" from any additional films.<<< https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_Jones_%28franchise%29#Future

He looked like a geriatric has-been who got killed like a bitch (by his freaking SON no less!). What a way to satisfy a decades-long death wish that Harrison Ford made clear would've happened in "Return of the Jedi" if he'd gotten his way (and that would've been a far better finale for our hero imho). Now Indy FIVE!? I guess nobody noticed how incredibly pathetic Indy FOUR was. They should just title this one "Indiana Jones and the Cashing of the Paycheck". Blech. Blech, blech, blech. To Ford, the corporations, Spielberg and Lucas and all the rest of those creatively bankrupt fat-cats who couldn't drum up a new idea if Old-Solo and Old-Indy held whips and blasters to their greedy heads! BLECH!
