The Television show was HORRIBLE and is probably what started to dull the enjoyment for me.

    My older brother and his family love this guy. We've watched a few times, and he doesn't really do it for me. And I like vaudeville type entertainment -- ventriloquists, magicians, impressionists.... those guys who twirl plates on the ends of sticks -- Plate Twirlers.

    What makes Jeff great is his lifelike interaction with the dummies. He sometimes has me convinced that they are alive. He doesn't miss a thing, even when he is obviously adlibing. Head, movements, eyebrow movements, directions that they appear to be looking. He is a genious with that. The TV show didn't work because they tried to separate the dummies from Jeff and make them separate "living" entities. It just doesn't work. It made Jeff look almost like a non-entity. He looked lost out there to one side with no connection at all. Not well thought out, in my opinion.
