Sorcerer Hat to be Gone by End of 2013?

He claims that the Sorcerer Hat is to be gone from that park by the end of this year. Now, we're not claiming this to be a fact. It's only a rumor at this point. So we shall see how true it turns out to be. But we knew that many of you wouldl be pleased to hear of this, since the hat is not exactly a favorite icon where it is now placed.

ORWEN: We asked our friend if the hat was going to be moved somewhere else and he seemed to think it wouldn't be moved to any other location. He seemed to think it would be destroyed.

ORDDU: We never thought the hat looked appropriate in its current location. Once it is gone the former hub area will most likely return as it used to be and that would free up more space for parade viewing.

ORGOCH: 'Cept now they's gone an' got rid a the dang parade!! Who knows when they's gonna' git a new one a them fer Dizzy Hollyweird Studs?

As trivial as that sounds, merchandise locations aren't something Disney likes to get rid of. Even if they left the merchandise, they would still have to pay to take the hat down.
