Still, I have gotten a few requests (and I don't usually do requests at my concerts) for such a thread ... so ...
... well ... I don't really have the time for a traditional observation thread, so I thought I'd ask if anyone wanted to know anything particular about some facet of WDW.

Anything ... ask ... and I'll try and respond over the weekend (time permitting) ... and thanks for your continued interest and support ... although money would be nicer (I will take a DVC in lieu though).

So ... what would you like to know?
    Oh ... and please

Are you making a paper mache volcano?

If you don't want to talk about MM, Lost, and Ducks don't bring them up.

OK I brought up the Ducks.

I had two table service meals on property.

They were at 'Ohana and Fulton's. A friend took me to the former and picked up the tab.

They were both very good. 'Ohana, which was a favorite for years before falling in quality, is back up there again. And the fact you can get pineapple with caramel (if you ask nicely or DEMAND as some newbie CMs may be oblivious, ours wasn't) instead of that tasty but very out of place bread pudding helps.

The food was very good and tasty and I am not an all you can eat Spirit, especially since I have now lost 30 pounds since last summer. ... Price ... well? It is still almost worth it with a 20% discount. I am having a brain freeze but I believe it was either $25.99 or 26.99 ...

Fulton's was the best meal of the trip and other than crab (which I didn't have) I pretty much don't eat anything from the seas. That said, I had likely the best chicken sandwich of my life there ... with spinich and provolone on foccacia with the BEST homemade kettle chips I have ever eaten all for $9.99 before my 20% AP discount. In other words, about the price of a crappy sandwich basket at a theme park.

The portions were all huge. The other three members of my party all had various seafood dishes and loved them all.

The service was wonderful as was the ambience.

We wound up here after taking a look at the menu for the Coral Reef. There are all of 10 entrees on the menu at Coral Reef. Only four of them are from the sea ... although they have catfish too. But the menu doesn't even have the basics of any seafood restaurant in the real world ... no shrimp, crab or lobster entrees (they have some lobster salad sandwich which was over $20 for lunch).

Fulton's menu has over three times the options ... and that doesn't include the fact you order off the dinner menu at lunch.

They had a price increase there, as every place has since the economy collapsed, but it was much more realistic.

They also have great discounts ... 20% for APers, 30% for DVCers ... and I heard a manager talking about increasing discounts.

They really should be smart and undercut Disney any way they can.

They offer better food at a better price and they still are 'in the magic.'

I also had a quick serve meal at Captain Cook's at the Poly -- very tasty club sandwich with Asian slaw (don't know why it's Asian, but it was very good) ... my issue was that it cost $9.09 for something that even at WDW shouldn't be more than $7.09 (if I were pricing, I'd stick it at $6.99).

Other than a few snacks ... that was my WDW on property dining.

Almost did ESPN Club one night since their pricepoints aren't totally absurd, although I've never really had a meal there that was better than 'OK' in the past ... but the wait was too long, so we wound up at the great new Fuddrucker's at Crossroads at LBV where you get a much better burger than any Disney locale, at a much better price. Great ice cream shakes too.

I am not paying $10 for a hot dog, fries and a Coke even if the government gives me a bailout. That's absurd.

I spent two hours late one night at TPFKaTD-MGMS hungry because I simply wouldn't pay those prices. Wound up getting a tasty chicken sandwich at the Checkers drive in (is that rednecky, Mr. Pierce?)

No. I never have either ... isn't that a rite of middle school passage?

I didn't think I brought up MM either. He isn't a favorite of mine. Although I'd love to watch him sit on Sean Hannity and squish the evil out of him!

As to Lost, guilty as charged. Can't help it. Best show on TV today. Also, one of the best things Disney is doing in any of its business units

Don't you have kids? I got over that partiular issue with my 2 little princesses.
One of the funniest/ couldn't laugh moments was at a nice restaurant for my ex's birthday. After we had eaten we were sitting at the table enjoying a beverage, and she was feeding our 2 year old some mash potatoes, and all the sudden my pretty little princess threw up all over my ex. SMy Ex was wearing a low cut/push-up deal showing her fantastic cleavage, and the baby just filled it up. I was ROTFL on the inside and obviously concerned on the outside. My Ex just broke down and started crying.

Hmm ... I dunno if I'd say lifeless. One of the nights I was there the park was pretty empty as well. I did the get the vibe that it was a 'between major events' period and the park wasn't its lively best.

The park looked 'tired' all over. And when you have everything from dirty walkways to things not being show quality ... from the angler fish in Nemo to curtains that were inop in France's theater ... well, that all adds to the vibe.

Anyway, I'm guessing that's probably what you felt. But don't fear, I am sure Danny Cockerell is going to be right on these things!

    <<Where did you stay at?>>

A very nice off-property all suite location ... for a fraction of what a room at a WDW 'value' resort would have cost :)

<<What was the most entertaining thing you did?>>

Spent time with quality people. But since you meant Disney wise ... I really enjoyed the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure ... thought Idol was much better than expected (although still not what I go to WDW for) ... also had some good experiences with MK attractions looking like they should as far as show quality ... things like PoC, BTMRR, Mansion is just amazing now, etc ... also saw BPB in its entirety for the first time in FLA and it clearly is an improvement from the cars parade even if it still ain't my thing.

<<What was the least entertaining thing you did?>>

Menu gazing ... food is very important to me and part of my 'magical WDW' visits and they have gone off the deep end.

<<Did you use any Disney transportation? If the answer is yes comments please.>>

Not much to be honest. One day I took the monorail from MK to EPCOT just for the heck of it since I enjoy it.

One bad thing I noticed is that you can no longer get a direct bus from the Studios to the MK. You must get off at the TTC and transfer to rails or ferry ... I have no idea why they have done this, but had I know I would have likely driven. It is basically just a PITA for no good reason.

<<That will hold me over for a while, I'll give others the opportunity to ask their questions.>>

I am sure the queue is backed up! ;-)

Seriously, I'm starting to wonder with all this time travel if anyone will truly be dead when all this over. But I don't care ... that was a phenomenal episode.

I really was wondering what happened when Ben talked John out of offing himself when we knew he would be found hanging ... and then he turns around as soon he finds out Jin is alive and Elouise is in LA and strangles him ... Michael Emerson is just a pheonomenal actor. He eats up the screen.

    No, thankfully.

Although it sounded like there were a lot of ill folks around.

I did get partially puked on by a stranger at EPCOT two years ago and it wasn't exactly magical.
