You almost can't afford to NOT GO at those prices.

At these rates, rooms aren't so easy to come by unless you reserve several days in advance, so people are being drawn, but money is being made, if any, in wholesale room letting for cut rates.

I've never seen that. Never. If I weren't headed there next week and busy in November, I'd have switched dates.

I didn't mention it because I wasn't sure what "select merchandise" included. I was afraid it might be a very limited number of items that were overstocked. Is it actually going to be a fairly wide range of stuff? My wife can't get off work, but told me that with those prices I should make a solo trip. I think I may do just that!

Originally Posted By Spirit of 74 <<Dude, where's my ridiculously low AP rates for February?>> Considering that bookings are supposedly relatively strong for the rest of '08 and '09 is what Disney is worrying about, I'd guess they'll be plenty of discounts come January (if not sooner). The only week they might not be plentiful would be President's Week when many schools in the NE have vacation.

I've never seen an offer like that for the general public. It covers almost everything except things like gift cards, CDs, DVDs, cameras and video equipment etc ... I'm shocked they aren't more limted. And the discount is good for all your shopping and length of stay. The only places it isn't good is Swan and Dolphin, SoG, Japan, China and Morocco and EPCOT, and the non-Disney owned DD locations like Virgin. Anywhere else, you can use it. That $1,000 Mickey figure you couldn't afford or didn't want to splurge on? You can walk out with it for $650 now. This is desperation time in Orlando.

The off property operators probably won't have this luxury, so there could be some good rates on I Drive.
