Blue Bayou is nice, but I can do it earlier that evening if I really want to.

Wow, an event that I actually have no interest in attending. /cs

I guess they will probably sell out quickly anyway.

Sure, the view is different (and presumably "better"), and you get the fancy spread of goodies, but I always think I'd rather spend the money on something else.

I didn't even know we were going to get those, and it more than made up for the cost. I wonder what the keepsakes will be for the pirates event, and the commemorative photo?? Yeah the cash seems steep, but who knows? Could be worth it. I have a good friend who will undoubtedly DIE when she hears about this. She is a Pirates NUT! Maybe there is more, maybe there isn't. Could be fun anyway.

What time did you leave? We left around 2am, I think, and that was because we didn't want to wait in the still-really-long merchandise pickup line. They said we could pick it up the next day, so we went back then. Other people who were leaving to go home would have had to wait in that horrendous line. I think I heard that the last person was done around 5am. Of course, it wasn't much better when we went to pick up our merchandise the next day. They were still disorganized, people were mad and yelling at the CMs and the CM we finally got to help us was as slow as molasses and not very bright either, it appeared. With that whole mess, it just got to be funny because we were so tired and punchy and it just wasn't worth being upset anymore. When we were finally done picking up our merchandise at Disneyana, we ran into Doobekah outside so we got to tell them our tale. /cs

We were not at the end of the line, but we were there until at least 3:30 am or so. But we got everything we paid for!!! It was so late that we were escorted to our car in a Disney van as the trams all were down for the night. Oh, and getting pelted with chocolate coins as we waited in line was a nice gesture, but really, they could have just handed them out! I think it's hysterical now and we have fond memories of the whole evening. And I will never forget the letter from Cynthia announcing their remorse and the refund of the event price. I still think that was pretty cool for them to do for everyone in attendance, not just for those who complained in writing.

They even got the box with the Marc Davis lithos.
