Thoughts?

Save money, TDO. Just reopen the AC. You have no idea how many people you will win back with that. And funnily enough, I thought the thread title had something to do with me going to Universal within the month...(hopefully) ;-)

If it is true, it seems like it could be a "first step". If they're willing to admit they're wrong, the other dominoes would most likely fall into place. <<And funnily enough, I thought the thread title had something to do with me going to Universal within the month...(hopefully) ;-)>> While that is amazing, the fact that TDO may be admitting they're wrong is even more amazing.

When I was down on my College Program, I never saw any CM getting obnoxiously drunk at PI, and I was there a lot. The real culprit here would most likely be House of Blues. that's where people would get hammered. And anyway, even with your rules, the CMs would still get in. They get access to everything a regular guest does, save for EMH.

Sure, they'd be admitting they were wrong, but instead of fixing the problem, they only give you a half assed version of the club back. Kind of like what they did with JII versions 2 and 3....

But I can't say that I KNOW from personal experience. I will change "WDW CM" to "young adults". Fair enough?

It would be infinitely better just to bring back the OLD clubs that everyone is pining for, and kill two birds with one stone. 1) Bring back a "adult" atmosphere to DTD 2) Bring back a beloved venue that all this angst as about anyway.
Originally Posted By HokieSkipper <<They want to bring back the club scene to PI but with a new club.>> Right. but it's an out door club. You were talking as if it was going to replace the AC, which it most likely wouldn't be doing. You bring this thing in, which in turn spurrs interest in the Island, leading to the possibility of opening back up the old clubs.

I also can't imagine it was very profitable for Disney. It was more a "sit and watch" place than a "sit and drink" place. Combine that with the relatively large cast required, and it had to be a money-loser for Disney.

How profitable it actually was is up for debate, but it did not lose money.
