    The July 19th <I>Orlando Sentinel</I> reports Disney World will end its 30 year tradition of dove releases as red tailed hawks have discovered the pattern and lie in wait for the birds.

    This is something that I would never have expected to read about...But I am glad to hear this news....I have a backyard pond and lose several fish each year due to the same reason...I have done everything I can to protect my fish and it seems to be working for now...I am just glad to hear that Disney is no longer going to be offering a free lunch for them...

    Not to be cruel but I found this article to be somewhat funny. I mean Disney was REALLY asking for it with those dang pigeons. Seems like at every show at a key emotional moment. Cue the birds. It was getting more than a little bit out of hand. Seriously almost EVERY. STINKIN. SHOW. we'd have pigeons. I'm glad SOMEone was doing something about it. Thank you red-tailed hawks. ;-)

    ORGOCH: Better yet, train the VULTURES ta take a part in the shows. That's probably what had 'em so ticked off in the first place! They didn't like bein' upstaged by no other birds! In their minds, THEYS the most beautiful birds around and they was just pickin' off the competition. I say, git 'em a Union President and put 'em ta work!!!
