Yeah, I'm with you also, I LOVED that part, but it doesn't seem to be loved by many though. Have to wait and see what this new effect brings, but it SOUNDS like people like it at least.

In every single drop shaft, the show sequence is 'Magic Mirror' FOLLOWED BY 'Haunted Hallway' followed by the drop sequence. The only difference between the shafts is that on the far right shaft, the elevator ASCENDS after the 'Magic Mirror' to stop at the 'Haunted Hallway,' while in the middle and left shafts, the elevator DESCENDS after the 'Magic Mirror' to stop at the 'Haunted Hallway.' Oh, and I guess there is one more difference--depending on whether you board an elevator upstairs or downstairs, your final drop will be longer (downstairs) or shorter (upstairs).

It would have been interesting if the chicken exit were under the boiler though. Open a door and see a bright orange light, as if you were being consumed by the boiler. Then again, if you're scared enough by that point to exit the queue, maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea.

We saw the buckled elevators but it didn't flow with the storyline for some reason. We were taken to the library, watched the video which explained what happened in the hotel but somehow I just didn't connect. Now I get it. I didn't read any spoilers before we went. Kind of wish I had because I would have looked for some things in the library that I didn't notice. Thanks for the great description and I'll be looking in Aug. when we get to go again
