We're trying to work it near Thanksgiving or after New Years. Do you remember how soon the Christmas decor went up? And does it come down right after New Years or does it stay there for another week? Thanks!

Christmas season will start on Friday, November 10th, 2006 with the return of it's a small world holiday and the Christmas fireworks (Yes, Christmas, not Remember), plus the Christmas Tree and decorations, and the return of Santa's Reindeer Round-Up.

The Christmas Parade should start around the 17th of November.

The last day of the Christmas events will more than likely be the 1st of January, though might be a day or two later....

PEAK Christmas season starts Friday, December 15th, and goes thru January 7th.

No idea if it will be the same for this coming holiday season though.

And expedia.ca also shows nothing for those dates at the DLH. BUT, the system does show rooms before and after our chosen week. Our first priority is to go when the crowds are low. So, we tried to stay away from Thanksgiving, etc. Anyway, why would that week be showing TOTALLY unavailable? Same for GCH, not that the GCH is on my budget. I figured November 27-Dec. 1 might still be awfully busy from Thanksgiving vacationers? Or no? And then Dec. 11-15 would start to get too busy? Or no? Thanks all. Kelli PS. Hi Darkbeer. I think you helped me with some ?? a few vacays ago. My daughter is T1. :)

    Good luck

And I think that the parks will be ok during the day, because most conventions are during business hours. But at night is another story. You might try calling in the next couple of weeks and see if anyone canceled. Or rethink your dates. But good luck.

I noticed starting on Wednesday, rooms are available at the Disney hotels.

After I read your post this am, I checked online at DL tickets & reserves, and now they are letting me book for the 4-8th. Unfortunatley, it is HUGELY expensive. It describes "Standard View Concierge" and I wonder if I called, would I be able to get something cheaper. Expedia.ca doesn't show rooms available for those dates yet. Since the DL reserves now does, are rooms likely to come to expedia too or not necessarily? Thanks. Kelli
