I havn't stayed at the Disneyland Hotel since we were there during the big '94 earthquake (not too much fun watching the walls crack as you go down the stairwell) and have never stayed at Paradise Pier. So ya if you guys could give me some feedback that would be well appreciated!

With the gorgeous landscaping, the waterfalls and the Koi pools, the DL Hotel seems 'more Disney' to me than any other Disney hotel I've stayed at.

PPH's rooms and service are nothing special, is lacking in outdoor areas, and it doesn't seem very Disney. Even more important is that although it may not be further from Disneyland than the DLH, PPH lies outside of the total Disney experience area. You'll see streets and parking and reminders of the outside world on your way to and from the rest of the resort.

We found the cm's were much nicer and more helpful at the PP then the DLH.

At PP, we had a Fantastic room on the 14th floor overlooking DCA which was brilliant and much nicer then the views from DLH especailly at night time.

The rooms are newly renovated and fresh compared to the old feel of the DLH when we were there.

The walk is quick and easy from the PP especially of you dart thru the GCH and use their entrance into DCA, which we did last Christmas, to avoid the crowds at the security tables for the entrance to DL.

To be truthful we have enjoyed all three Disney hotels, so it doesn't matter which one you choose, I'm sure you will have a great time! :)

I've posted before on how much our family loves the PP hotel. The CM's are always wonderful and it seems we always get upgraded to rooms with a view. DCA views are wonderful, especially at night. We don't spend a lot of time wandering the grounds so it's no big deal to us that there aren't waterfalls and such like at the Disneyland Hotel. The rooms are fresh and bright and the entrance through the Grand Californian is great! The Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the PCH Grill is fantastic as well. My kids absolutely loved it...they thought it was much better than Goofy's!

The Paradise Pier is a younger, much fresher hotel, slightly removed from the bizzyhectic fray, and yet still completely convenient -- even if you want to walk over to the DizHotel's cooler pool setup. The character breakfasts at Paradise Pier are a better experience, AND they've got Yamabuki. I've stayed at both, but the one I go back to is Paradise Pier.

I guess I am leaning towards the Disneyland hotel simple because of everyone saying its "more disney" and you don't feel like you are leaving the Disneyland atmosphere quite as much. I am not even considering another nearby hotel simply because I can't imagine going to Disneyland and not staying in a Disney hotel. Also I was wondering about prices. On average how much cheaper is DH than GCH and PP than DH? Thanks so much!

DLH used to be more expensive than the PPH, but I don't know if that is true any more. When I was checking rates for our Disneyland trip last July it would have cost more to get a room in the PPH than the DLH. My guess is that PPH is becoming increasingly popular because of the DCA views so that the rates are pretty comparable to the Disneyland Hotel.

We have always received wonderful service there too. And I do agree with previous posts that you get way more "disney" staying at the DLH. I love driving in to the front and seeing the gigantic Mickey there to greet you.
