My suggestion is to do it early in the morning or very late in the day. I skip it altogether.

What a gift to be able to zero in to the thing that's wrong about another's parade, and make sure they know it. "Isn't the sunrise beautiful today?" "Yeah, but wait until this afternoon when it gets hot and humid. Then you'll know how wrong you are."

I think they would have been better off using real tents, as it would have been cheaper and more realistic, if they didn't want to spend the money to make a real building look like a tent. The layout is also pretty bad, since it seems like you're walking through a mall. It must be something with the spacing of the different things and the lack of trees on the perimeter, but it also seems like the whole are is very disconnected. While I have no problem with the concept, the execution (recycled from Mickey's Birthdayland and Starland) just isn't very good.

My kids are past this age group, but we like to wander over there and get pictures with the characters. Late at night there is hardly a line and you just about get to see every one. I would recomend it for character pictures during the last hour of the day. Also riding Goofy's barnstormer is easier at this time. It can really be a hassle during the peak afternoon hours with all the strollers and little ones running everywhere. I think this area is very cute and designed well for toddlers, etc.

What would make this part a whole lot better is if the Imagineers were to expand it into a full blown Toontown like DL and TDL, complete with a Roger Rabbit style dark ride (not necessarily Roger, imagine a driving lesson with Goofy or some similar concept!). Unfortunately, as it is, this 'land' only feels about 1/3 complete to me.
