    Growing up I woke up every morning to the sound of roosters, chickens and the train and every now and then a stray donkey on our street. All from Knott's Berry Farm. I can remember my Mom taking me over to Knott's for her early morning walk and coffee and Mrs Knott herself, handing me a little waxed paper cup full of Boysen berry juice. I lived( my Mom is still there since 1959) right off of Western Av, directly across the street from Knott's. Back then you had to cross through a tree lined dirt floor parking lot to get to the candy shop where you could watch the ladies through a window rolling and swirling out candy ropes for the handmade lollipops. You could smell the sweet smell of the jam cooking every morning as well.
    RC62,HI NEIGHBOR!! That was a fun flashback for me. Thanks for the thread. I live in Anaheim too. I moved only one mile up the road from my original birthplace of wich I just told you about. :)

    I grew up in an all-boy neighborhood so we would play kickball in the road & run when ever it hit the crabby neighbors house!! good times :)

    What's wrong with loving the Poly? It's my favorite home away from home. My great memory is of the Poly being $60 a night in the 70's/80's.
