At any rate, I would like to have a really special dinner. I checked the menu at Victoria and Albert's and I don't think Rose would like much of what would be served. She's not a White Truffle or Minnesota Elk kind of woman.

So, looking at the other rather upscale restaurants, I think she would enjoy either Bistro De Paris or the California Grill. Do any of you have an opinion on which would be the best place to go?

    Thanks

No disrespect to either of your other choices but V&A is in a class all on its own and if you can stretch to the cost you really shouldn't consider any other alternative. Don't forget that jackets are mandatory for men.

For the first time ever I will have a jacket with me at WDW since I will be wearing one at our daughter's wedding.

Beyond not being a "fancy foodie", my wife is not a big fan of seafood. Knowing that; would you still recommend V&A?

It is a wonderful occasion and seems completely appropriate for such a special anniversary. If you want a once-in-a-lifetime memory then V&A has to be it.

If you do choose V&A make sure that they know it is an anniversary - they will make your night very special indeed.

While I love all three locations, V&A's is simply one of the best meal experiences you'll find anywhere. True 5-star gourmet grownup dining, impeccable service, great wine list. And no brats around. It's not stuffy at all.

And I have seafood allergies and they made a menu for me around that. Every item I had (and there are so many courses that you lose track) was lick the plate good.

I'd definitely consider it strongly. You won't regret it despite the price.

Menu looks pretty darned good to me (I hate seafood too, so I can relate)...

Duck with sausage? Pennsylvania Lamb? Kobe beef with smoked garlic potato puree?

I think you guys could find SOMETHING. ;p

Add some congratulations from me and Mrs X too, a milestone anniversary indeed. Here's to many more!

If you really want to do V&A just call, outline what will work for your lovely wife & ask if it's possible. I'm sure they will be happy to discuss it with you & most likely accommodate any special dietary needs she may have.

If that doesn't work my choice would be Bistro. I really enjoy it. Ask for a seat @ the window looking out on the promenade. After you've shared a decadent dessert you can take a leisurely walk through the "world" which I'm sure you would give her if you could.

Of course I love Cali as well so I don't really think you can go wrong. Wow how often are you faced with a win/win/win situation.

We're coming up on 34 in May. I think we're going to spend a wkend in Marceline,MO for kicks. Not as romantic but oh well.;)
