Guess since they've done all the TV shows - "Bewitched," "Beverly Hillbillies," "Honeymooners," "Wild Wild West" (which, btw, was one of my very favorite TV shows as a kid, but the movie is literally unwatchable in my book), etc... Hollywood has to start scraping the bottom of the barrel and remake old, fairly obscure horror flicks.

    What's next...? "Friday the 13th 2006," "Friday the 13th II - 2007" and so on?? *L*

Kinda like remade music or bits of 'our' favorite stuff that gets picked apart and stuck in a rap song - "sampling" my foot!

I wouldn't be surprised if they brought back Friday the 13th, but it will be another SEQUEL, not a REMAKE. There's a difference.

Yep. I saw the trailer last night on TV. I feel like I've seen the whole movie at this point.

Someday, they'll go back to making movie trailers that don't reveal 99% of the surprises, punchlines, amazing visual effects. I hope.

Yes, and of course, we have to have at least three "Whew, he's dead. It's all over now..." false endings before he jumps back into the house through a plate glass window, crawls out of a wood chipper, etc.

My point in mentioning the "Friday the 13th" series was that they'll next start remaking the sequels (note I titled one "Friday the 13th II - 2007"). Obviously, this is a completely ridiculous thought, however it is not totally unexpected in today's dumbed-down Hollywood.

    *LOL* 2oony... Exactly!

    So why bother?

You asked "what's next"? Obviously, it isn't a remake of Friday the 13th original or sequel.

I was simply pointing out the ridiculousness of remaking the topic movie and asking (and answering) a rhetorical question about what MIGHT come next out of a currently very unimaginative Hollywood, i.e. remaking sequels. I just happened to use the name "Friday the 13th blah, blah, blah."

You really love 'stirring it,' don't you? This is a lighthearted board. Perhaps you should skip on back over to "World Events" if you're in the mood to be a pain.

As for being a pain, here's more.

"Hollywood has to start scraping the bottom of the barrel and remake old, fairly obscure horror flicks."

They remade "The Fog" 1980 and "The House of Wax" 1953 in Year 2005. So there you have it.

Just because you didn't detect the sarcasm in my 'question/answer' on remaking sequels doesn't make ME wrong. Next time slow down and really read before responding, eh?

You're so smart. I'm really hurt from your smart retort! ;)

Maybe next time, you should come up with something more clever about the topic YOU created. Slow down and figure out what you're trying to say!!!

    Gee whiz.
